On Wednesday 7th October, Ctrl.Alt.Shift will be shocking the Raindance Film Festival 2009 by screening the five winning films from Ctrl.Alt.Shift's film-making competition. The films tackle the issues of War + Peace, Gender + Power and HIV + Stigma.

The competition, held in May, saw aspiring young film makers submit film treatment ideas based around the competition's key issues. Judges Riz Ahmed (Shifty), Adam Deacon (Kidulthood) and producer Andy Noble (Warp Films) chose film treatments that lead to the creation of the films 'A Thousand Voices', 'HIV: The Musical', 'Man Made', 'No Way Through' and 'War School'.

'A Thousand Voices' is an animated film portraying the issue of a conflict through the story of detainees imprisoned indefinitely, 'HIV:The Musical' exposes HIV + Stigma with the help of The Mighty Boosh's Julian Barratt and The Office's Martin Freeman, with Metronomy providing background music. 'Man Made', a film about Gender + Power, was created with the help of music video director King Burza, who has worked with Katy Perry, Ladyhawke, Noisettes, Katie Nash, Calvin Harris and Le Roux. Other films feature Young Knives, Chipmunk and Shy Child.

How do you, oh super keen and eager Ctrl.Alt.Shift reader, fit in? Ctrl.Alt.Shift has 5 pairs of FREE! tickets to give away.
