A couple of pounds isn't going to make much difference to you, but it'll make a massive difference to those going hungry in West Africa.

10 million people are facing severe food shortages across the Sahel, the belt of land that stretches across Africa, just south of the Sahara.
Regular droughts and irregular harvests have led to seriously reduced food production.
More than 7 million people - over half the population - in Niger are at risk of going hungry, as well as communities in Burkina Faso, Chad, Nigeria and Mauritania.
Imported food is available in the markets but is too expensive for the people most at risk to afford. The next harvest isn't due until October, if it comes, so the months until then are critical. And even with a full harvest, there will not be enough food for the affected communities.
Your money will be used to deliver humanitarian assistance to the region through our partners in the form of:
- food and medical aid
- supporting and setting up cereal banks and food distribution
- create cash-for-work programmes so families can afford to buy cereal and grains in the markets
