Vickie Wilson, a campaigner for Channel 4 project, Battlefront, tells Ctrl.Alt.Shift all about her mission to give the children of Ghana a better chance with their education…
I feel incredibly privileged to have you following me on my path to change… As you can see here [1], I am incredibly passionate about giving the children of Ghana a better chance with their education. Even though my final aim is still the same, my campaign has taken a completely different direction which includes some very, very exciting things!
Realising that shipping over tons of equipment from UK businesses would not only cost a bomb but could affect the economy in Ghana and has made me see things on a much larger scale. I now know that the campaign needs to be sustainable and involve the local communities.
My idea is simply to kid nap a super star celeb and impress them with my charm and a little tap dance until they agree to be the face of a charitable pen. Simple? Well maybe minus the kid napping. Basically I’m on a mission to create an item of stationary where each sale donates a small amount of money to my project. How exciting is this? Very; as the money raised can then be used to supply schools with basic essentials. Keep in the loop, you check out my campaign on the Battlefront [2] website and tell me what you think…
P.S. I have my sights set on Tinchy Stryder, seeing as he already supports my campaign. Watch this to see what I mean:
