X Factor runner up and Robbie Williams-style, the cheeky Olly Murs [1], will be doing his bit for charity - leading the Big Christmas Sing launch at Old Spitalfields Market in London for Christian Aid.
Murs was the runner up in last year’s X Factor, losing out to the boy with the innocent smile, Joe McElderry. Also joining him at the Christmas Sing will be John Adeleye [2], popular reject of this year’s X Factor and Faryl Smith [3] from 2008’s Britain’s Got Talent - the teenage mezzo-soprano who has since had the fastest selling solo classical album in UK chart history.
'Bring on the Mariah Carey, East 17 and Slade wannabe out-of-tuners'
Big Christmas Sing events are held by people all over the UK at home, in school, in the pub and are basically a good sing-a-long to some old and new xmas smashhits (so bring on the Mariah Carey, East 17 and Slade wannabe out-of-tuners); all while raising money to help fight poverty.
Note: Whether or not you're an X Factor fan, a good laugh for a good cause is not a bad Christmas treat - so bring on the cheese fest and the mulled wine!
The Big Christmas Sing launch will be on Wednesday November 10 at Old Spitalfields Market in London. The concert is free and will begin at 5.30pm.
