
This free two-day exhibition titled ‘From a Culture of Violence to a Culture of Peace: Transforming the Human Spirit,’ will complement the 5th London Conference on a Middle East Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone hosted by the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy (CISD) at SOAS (School of Oriental African Studies, London University).
The exhibition calls for the abolition of nuclear weapons will open alongside a major conference on creating a Middle East free of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
The exhibition, which has been created by SGI, Soka Gakkai International, a lay Buddhist organization, places the ordinary citizen at the heart of efforts to reduce the nuclear threat worldwide, clearly presenting the cost to humanity through the lens of human security.
The exhibition has been shown in over 200 cities and twenty-four countries worldwide and is part of SGI’s People’s Decade Initiative. The People's Decade for Nuclear Abolition aims to rouse public opinion and help create a global grassroots network of people dedicated to abolishing nuclear weapons.
