In September ’09, Ctrl.Alt.Shift ran a competition asking people to create comic strips on the theme of corruption. The winner’s work was exhibited in the Lazarides Gallery in London in November ’09 alongside a retrospective look at how comics and satire have been used throughout history to highlight political important issues.

A selection of pieces from the original Lazarides exhibition will be exhibited at the Noise Lab Guerrilla Pop-up Store in Manchester, alongside the winners of the November ’09 Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption comic strip competition. Noise Lab provides struggling young creatives such as fashion designers, musicians, performers, photographers and other artists from across Manchester with the opportunity to showcase and sell their creative products and forge opportunities within the creative industries.
