Stop Corruption in Kenya

Since Kenya gained independence in 1963, the country has been rife with corruption. There are loads of examples of the government being involved in corrupt activities and 80% of people are getting poorer.

Ctrl.Alt.Shift has partnered with the anti-corruption organisation Mars Group Kenya (www.marsgroupkenya.org) which monitors corruption in the country to call on the Kenyan government to put an end to its fraudulent activities.

The Mars Group has documented a variety of scandals and examples of the Kenyan government stealing money from its people through pretend contracts and fake companies. One of the biggest scandals of recent years is the Goldenberg Conspiracy which because of fictitious gold and diamond trading cost Kenya US$2 billion over a period of less than 3 years, money which went into the pockets of Kenyan government officials.  Another scandal the Anglo Leasing scam increased Kenya’s external debt by US$800 million when Government officials entered into fictitious security related contracts with phantom companies.  Today, the reform agenda is under funded as corruption continues with impunity.

The Kenyan government needs to be held to account and the grand corruption issue in Kenya needs to be raised within the international community.

Copy the below text and send it to as many of the people underneath as you can to put an end to corruption in Kenya.

Dear xxx

46 years ago a handover took place between Kenya and the British colonial government, marking the beginning of democracy for Kenya. But those 46 years have been rife with corruption and 80% of Kenyans are getting poorer. In 2008 1,133 Kenyans were killed in politically instigated post election violence and nobody has been held to account for this crime against humanity.

The Kenyan Government must be pushed to deliver on its duty to Kenyans as expected in the National Accord which became law in February 2008.

We, Ctrl.Alt.Shift partnered with MARS Group Kenya want the Kenyan government to not only sign up but act now to:

•    Deliver the National Accord and restore fundamental rights of Kenyans
•    Practice transparency and accountability in all public finance
•    End Impunity and punish the masterminds of post election violence and corruption
•    Act with only the best interest of the Kenyan people

Yours sincerely

THIS REALLY SADDENS ME I

THIS REALLY SADDENS ME I happened to spend a large part of my childhood to adolescence in Kenya in the capital city Nairobi i witnessed the election in 2002 that saw Mwai Kibaki become president of the republic of Kenya. This come as a result of a 24 years of his predecessor Daniel Arap Moi his regime masterminded the whole Goldenberg Conspiracy and this affected a lot Kenyans and also the money from this Goldenberg scandal helped fund the war first war in Democratic Republic of Congo that killed 3million people. Most of the people that profited from this scandal are businessmen, judges and politicians including the current president, prime-minister and the three vice prim-ministers and other senior ministers and MP's. This is due to the fact that most of the politicians in the new power sharing regime were all part of the old regime hence the corruption continues, therefore the only way to stop corruption in Kenya is for all these politicians to be investigated and prosecuted by the ICC

Angel black is actually more

Angel black is actually more natural-looking than Magic black lenses, because of the detailing which covers up the color of the eyes, giving a more blended natural-look, rather than Magic black, which does give a better enlargement effect, but it's less natural-looking. Anyway, give both a try if you can and see for yourself. Or visit soompi's photobucket account for circle lenses and see other people's eyes to compare. ;D world of warcraft account for sale

Such thinking completely

Such thinking completely misses the point. Giving the police and our politicians more money will not stop corruption. If it could, then Kenya would be a graft-free paradise. Poverty is not a sufficient or even necessary condition for corruption. A lack of integrity is both necessary and sufficient. Integrity cannot be bought. You either cultivate it or you don't. For as long as we don't put a premium on integrity, wage increases and prizes such as Mo Ibrahim's will only serve to whet the appetites of those seeking to devour us. wow characters

Once people realise there are

Once people realise there are consequences of their actions they'll get a little bit scared and think twice before engaging in corrupt practices. Look for example when that cop and another four were arrested in Nyeri word got round and cops around the region got scared and stopped asking for bribes. We can do it as long as we are commited to it. Resume Template

The level of corruption in

The level of corruption in Kenya is sickening. You can't do anything without being corrupt. The NARC government has said they have adopted a zero tolerance policy on corruption which is good. What I think we need to do is come up with a department that is legislated by law to handle all corrupt practices. I'm talking about the whole package. This department will have officers who by law can arrest all offenders, investigators to dig through the dirt, prosecutors ready to convict the suspects and a court of law where they will be charged. A substantial amount of money in the budget will have to assigned for this purpose but the means justify the end. buy wow account
