In order to avoid dangerous levels of climate change, it is estimated that global emissions must peak by 2015 and, in developed nations, fall from their 1990 levels by at least 80% before 2050.

If you include companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, then the UK’s carbon footprint is estimated at 12-15% of global emissions.

Before we can cut our emissions we need to know what they are – therefore we are calling on the government to make all companies to report the carbon they emit.

The Effects on the Poor
Natural disasters like those in Pakistan and food crises in Africa are likely to intensify because of climate change: longer droughts, more intense storms, worse floods.

It’s poor people who are affected most when natural disasters strike and the injustice is that they’ve done least to create the problem.
