Back in summer 2010, 17 Platform2 volunteers recorded the EP, ‘I Am The Change’, giving them the chance to share their experiences through music and poetry – and Ctrl.Alt.Shift still backing the sounds of justice all the way with this FREE download of the record - just in time for Christmas! Launched in London on July 8, the EP features an eclectic mix of electro, soul, indie/rock and world influences, with volunteers telling of their unique experience that has transformed their outlook on life, and focuses on issues of development including gender inequality, HIV/AIDS, education, and trade.

Julia Suit (alias Juliyaa), the brainchild behind the EP, says, ‘‘Using music to make a change is my dream come true.”

She adds: “Development is such a complex issue with not one solution, the I AM THE CHANGE EP is my simple way of allowing the voices of those who went and saw poverty first hand, a chance to break the complexity of the issue just into lyrics and melody, and say truths that I think need to be heard by those in power today.”
