When I was a child, our upstairs neighbour's son was a skinhead. Billy wasn't remotely rightwing, he just liked shaving his head and wearing Fred Perry shirts and braces and Doc Martens. He played me Madness and Bad Manners and the Specials, and we used to do all the dances until his mum made us stop because of the noise on the floorboards.
