More Than A Map...

It's so easy to just see this image as a map, another bunch of stats for us to gloss over. But I can't do that any longer. I spent the last two weeks in Kenya, and saw first-hand how climate change is affecting people that haven't contributed nearly half the CO2 emissions any one of us have. I witnessed families plant seeds and pray for rain so they'd be able to eat, and driving past numerous cracked, dry river beds... This isn't just a map to me any more, these are millions of lives lost because we didn't think it was important, as we carried on moaning about the tube being late again...

Yumna, well put. I'm also

Yumna, well put. I'm also going to keep myself in check before I moan about the rain pouring Just got back from seeing 'This is it'. MJ put it right “I really feel that nature is trying so hard to compensate for man’s mismanagement of the planet. This beautiful planet is sick, like a fever. If we don’t fix it now then it’s at the point of no return. This is our last chance to fix this problem that we have. It’s like a runaway train and the time has come. This is it. People always think: ‘Oh they’ll take care of it, the government; they will do it ‘they’ who? It starts with us. It’s us, or it’ll never be done.” Michael Jackson

This is excellent! I too went

This is excellent! I too went away to Peru and found that climate change had a big effect on general housing, it was the opposite to your instead of no rain we had plenty and that had a big effect on a lot of the locals houses. One of my friends woke up only to her flooded as over night it had been raining and her roof wasn't stable enough to handle the rain. Stand Against Climate Change!! x
