The Visible
The Visible are tired of biting their lips over the hidden injustices and broken promises in the world.

The Visible are an outspoken network who are not afraid to raise some eyebrows on university campuses across the UK.
The Visible are working to end poverty NOW.
The Visible are the faces of Ctrl.Alt.Shift on the ground, bringing together a diverse and vibrant network of student campaigners nationwide. Our mission is to revitalise grassroots student activism, to find a new voice and fresh, innovative ways to campaign on Ctrl.Alt.Shift issues like climate change, tax justice, corruption and unfair trade.
Campaigning is enacted through stunts and direct action, through art and music, through secret night time missions, through circus tricks and guerrilla stunts … through whatever it takes. The Visible confront those who continue to reap profit from the world’s unfair systems, using their power as campaigners and consumers.

The Visible want to challenge the idea that ending poverty is just about throwing money at an issue. We want to prove that ending poverty once and for all is about tackling the root causes that keep people lacking basic needs like food, water, shelter and security, or that leave people helpless within the shadow of corruption.

The Visible are part of a network of campaigners in their local area, nationally and internationally. Becoming a part of The Visible could provide valuable work experience if you want to get involved in campaigning, international development, events organising or the arts. It also provides a great opportunity for those already involved with student campaigning but looking for a fresh approach or some extra support.
Think this all sounds great but worried that little thing called a degree might get in the way?
There are loads of ways to get involved with actions that take anything from a few seconds to a few hours; from signing up to support fairer trade laws online, to attending a lobby of parliament over tax justice, to attending a club night that raises awareness about climate change.
