Ctrl.Alt.Shift @ Rumble Dance Festival

FuzzyLogic Dance company, who performed at the Ctrl.Alt.Shift Sadlers Wells show in November 08, were the opening act of The Peacock Theatre’s Rumble event which ran on the 17th and 18th of January 09.
Each night was made up of fourteen young dance groups from all over London, focusing on the theme ‘The Movies.’ All of the dance crews were successful in putting on a brilliant, well choreographed show to a supportive audience, who gave almost all the performances standing ovations. The crews, who battled it out to earn their place at Rumble, were all dressed in their own uniforms except for the contemporary dancers. This added to the imagery you were given when watching from above the stage.
The National Ballet routine - choreographed by 18 year old George, stunned the audience as they danced to Goldielocks and Semothy Jones' Remix, on their toes, pointe shoes et al, without skipping a beat! It was easy to see why they won the compeition on this here website.
This was a show not to be missed and a brilliant opportunity for the dancers to show off there skills to their family and friends. My personal highlight of the evening was ‘Cult dance company,’ who left the performance with mixed emotions. Their dance was based on a witch who is burned at the stakes. The lighting effects, crazy costume and make up added to the performance, frightening the audience and putting on a good show. The group also boasted a little girl who the audience applauded for at numerous times for her cute shock appearance in the dance and fantastic ability to dance as well as her older peers. Definitely one to look out for.
